ELEVATE 2023 Call 2: Eligibility Criteria

1. Should be an entity (P v t . Ltd/OPC/LLP/Partnership Firms) Registered or Incorporated in Karnataka. (private limited company (as defined in the Companies Act, 2013) or registered as a partnership firm (registered under section 59 of the Partnership Act, 1932) or a limited liability partnership (under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008)

2. Total revenue generated in terms of turnover from the date of incorporation should be less than INR 100 Crore

3. Startups should not have crossed 10 years from the DATE of INCORPORATION/ REGISTRATION Certificate as of  1st January 2023.

4. Startups/Entity working towards innovation, development, or improvement of products or processes, or services, or if it is a scalable business model with a high potential of employment generation or wealth creation

5. “Grassroot innovation or innovations with rural impact can be defined as innovation of a product, process or a service developed by Startups which are focussed at solving problems in rural areas and are capable of improving the socio-economic life / ease of living / standard of living of the rural community”. Startups who are eligible under the above definition will also be selected.

6. Establish a No-Lien bank account for the transfer of grant amount in the event of selection.

ELEVATE Unnati 2023 : (A Unique call Open for Startups by SC/ST Entrepreneurs) Eligibility Criteria

1. Should be an entity (P v t . Ltd/OPC/LLP/Partnership Firms) Registered or Incorporated in Karnataka. (private limited company (as defined in the Companies Act, 2013) or registered as a partnership firm (registered under section 59 of the Partnership Act, 1932) or a limited liability partnership (under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008)

2. Total revenue generated in terms of turnover from the date of incorporation should be less than INR 100 Crore

3. Startups should not have crossed 10 years from the DATE of INCORPORATION/ REGISTRATION Certificate as of  1st  January 2023.

4. Startups/Entity working towards innovation, development, or improvement of products or processes, or services, or if it is a scalable business model with a high potential of employment generation or wealth creation

5. At least one of the Director(s)/ Partner(s) should belong to the SC/ ST community and should hold a minimum of 70% SHARE in the company/ firm.

6. Such SC/ ST Director(s)/ Partner(s) should possess a valid digital caste certificate issued by the Revenue Department, Govt. of Karnataka with a valid RD NUMBER.!

7. Such SC/ST Director(s)/ Partner(s) should continue to be a part of the business for the entire duration of the project.

8. Terms and conditions of ownership should NOT be altered to his/her disadvantage during the course of the project.

9. Establish a No-Lien bank account for the transfer of grant amount in the event of selection.

 

To APPLY for ELEVATE/Idea2PoC Scheme, it is mandatory to sign-up and login to
Startup Karnataka Portal – https://startup.karnataka.gov.in/

1. Registration with shops and establishment CANNOT be accepted as a certificate of incorporation/ registration to apply for the call. (MSME, Udyog Adhaar, GST, Trade Union, KMF, VAT certificates, etc.) shall not be considered as certificates of incorporation as per the Karnataka Startup Policy Government Order

2. The Startup CANNOT be a subsidiary/ franchise/white-labeled reseller/ part of a group company.

3. The Startup CANNOT have a partnership value with another company/ entity.

4. The Startup CANNOT be a section 8 company, Trust/ Association/Society, or non-profit company.

5. The Startup CANNOT be a Merger/ Demerger of a bigger organization.

6. The Startup CANNOT be a part of any Govt. initiative/ aided partner or public-private partnership company/firm.

7. Applications that DO NOT comply with the mentioned ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA/ Supporting Documents will be DISQUALIFIED at any Stage of the Selection/ Funding Process resulting in the cancellation of their Application/ Grant.!

8. Only ONE application per Startup/Entity will be accepted. Only the first application will be considered in case of multiple applications from one Startup.

9. Please go through the ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for the call carefully before applying.

10. Startups / Startups with Founders who have previously won Idea2PoC Grant Schemes/ Grand Challenges/ Unnati  “ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR APPLICATIONS”!

11. The Department has come up with Elevate-Unnati 2023 which has separate funds earmarked under SCSP/TSP Funds. (NOTE: Applicable only for ELEVATE UNNATI 2023)
